The Answers You Need
WHAT SKILL LEVEL IS REQUIRED?
All skill levels are welcome. Although the river trips are not an actual lesson, some instruction will be provided.
You will need to physically be able to either sit, kneel or stand on a board for between 2.5 and 3.5 hours.
Note: It is recommended that you take the Intro to SUP lesson to learn basic skills and safety if you plan on paddling without a certified guide.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Be sure to bring a full water bottle. Extra water will be available to refill your bottles if necessary. It is important to STAY HYDRATED!
Check the weather forecast before we head out. You may want to bring a few different layers of clothing, sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, bug spray...
A dry bag is a good idea for storing any items you would like to bring with you. Dry bags are available to rent for standard river tours, and are included with the Balance On The Water Experiences. Dry bag capacity is 15 L (9.5" x 15")

All paddlers remain together and go at a pace that is comfortable for everyone. This is not a race. We are here to enjoy our surroundings and slow down from the hectic pace of life.
ARE THERE WASHROOM FACILITIES?
There are no washrooms available along our route, outside of the City of Saskatoon. There are public washrooms at the take-out locations, but not at the put-ins.
IS PADDLEBOARDING SAFE?
Yes paddleboarding is safe. However, with all outdoor and water activities, there are always risks involved.
A signed waiver is required to participate in all events.
We highly recommend taking an Intro To SUP Lesson to learn how to safely enjoy paddleboarding.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
To cancel or reschedule:
River Tours require 48 hours advance notice as there are many planning factors to consider.
Lessons require 24 hour advance notice.
Less than this may result in only a partial refund.
If any event is cancelled due to poor weather or environment conditions, you will be contacted to either reschedule or be offered a full refund.
Option 1: Leave a vehicle in the city at our take out location and have someone drop you off at our put in location. Then your vehicle will be waiting for you upon return.
Option 2: Requires 2 vehicles. Leave one vehicle in the city at our take out location and one vehicle at our put in location. After we return, use the one vehicle to get back to the put in location to pick up the other.
Option 3: Arrange for an uber or taxi ride out to the put in location and a pickup back at our take out location.
